One of the Amazon’s best kept secrets, our ClariTea is made from 100% guayusa leaves, a holly tree native to the Ecuadorian Amazon, where it has been harvested, alongside its sister plant cacao, for over 6000 years.

Treasured for its unique balance of slow-release energy - no jitters or caffeine crash like coffee - and calm focus, ClariTea has high levels of antioxidants (twice the amount found in green tea!), alkaloids, theophylline, L-theanine, theobromine, vitamins and amino acids. Sacred, smooth, with a rich, earthy aroma and slightly sweet finish, it’s consumed daily by Kichwa communities for energy, mental focus and as an appetite suppressant.  

Our ClariTea is harvested from ‘chakras amazónicas’, an ancient non-invasive agroforestry system that sustainably manages diverse crops, trees and medicinal plants within intact rainforest. By supporting this ancient process of wild harvesting we play a small part in helping preserve the Amazon and its people by providing an income that supports conserving their natural forest and way of life.

Ingredients: Ilex guayusa

Preparation: One teaspoon of ClariTea per cup in a tea pot or cafetière / French press. Add boiling water and let it brew for 4 - 7 minutes before serving. 

Delicious as is, or sweeten to taste. ClariTea also makes a refreshing ice tea. 

* The lack of tannins and the resulting smoothness of taste make ClariTea good for multiple brews!  

* After opening, store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.
